Raine’s Sweater

Filed under: Knitting — by thewomanwhowanteditall @ 11:05 pm

A while ago I knit Raine Henry’s Sweater.

It’s featured as a reader project today on the Petite Purls blog. If you haven’t been reading Petite Purls you should start now! I love the projects and the clean look of their website. Maybe one day I’ll submit something of my own. That is when I have time. Holy cow do nine month old babies keep you busy!

Christmas Socks – Finished!

I finished my husband’s Christmas socks today (finally.)

I didn’t use a pattern…it’s just a plain old vanilla sock. I love knitting these because they’re so mindless. As soon as I wove in the ends on these I started some socks for my 9 month old’s huge feet. I’m improvising them so look out for the pattern as soon as I get them finished. Hopefully they won’t take as long as my husband’s socks so I can get them in the baby’s Christmas stocking in time for Christmas!

Christmas Knitting

Filed under: Knitting — by thewomanwhowanteditall @ 8:29 pm

I have finished up a little of my Christmas knitting. Last year I did a lot more but this year I have a baby so my time is pretty precious.

I made some mittens for my husband’s grandmother:

These are Cruiser Mittens and you can find the pattern for them here. I used Stitch Nation’s Bamboo Ewe.

I am on the second sock of the pair my husband requested for Christmas for himself:

He loves knit socks so every year for Christmas he gets a new pair. Another thing he loves? Opal sock yarn. The yarn for these socks is Opal but I don’t remember the line or colorway, sorry.

Next up is this Jackyll & Hide hat for one of my brothers and a cowl for my husband’s grandfather.  I better get busy…only 36 days until Christmas!
